I was so excited to have found Hazelton's to send a sympathy basket to a friend who lost a family member. When ordered it said typical delivery time is 2 days, typical, but not guaranteed. I know better than to expect the "typical" 2-day delivery, but I am furious that it took 13 DAYS for delivery! So, instead of our gift being a helpful little escape from a really difficult time for our friend, it arrived well after her bereavement time was over and seemed like an afterthought. Timing and delivery is everything for these types of things, and if I had known, I would have done something different. I hate it when businesses misrepresent and lie to get your money.
I never received an email back concerning an order that was supposed to be delivered by Christmas to a dear friend. After paying over $30 shipping for 3-4 day delivery is a rip off when it’s not guaranteed. It’s January 9th, still no delivery, still no return call/email back.
I ordered a gift basket on the 24th to be delivered on the 27th and paid for appropriate shipping. I got pre-shipment notification on the 28th...meaning the item was leaving the store a day later than intended delivery date. I initially has no issues with that seeing as it was the holiday period and expected some delays, however, on the 5th of the next month i got notification from intended recipient of gift basket that it was never delivered. UPS tracking record said item was never shipped. I tried calling the customer care line for 2 days with no one answering. I eventually sent an email on the 6th to the customer care email address and did not get a response till the morning of the 7th telling me the item was held at the courier service due to unforeseen circumstance. UPS tracking record states clearly the item was shipped on the evening of the 6th, which would have been after i filed for refund. I do not appreciate being lied to. Use their service at your own risk.
I had placed an order for a gift basket and within 5 minutes realized that my co-worker had done one for this same employee as well so essentially a duplicate. I contacted customer service right away to cancel my order and was quite shocked to find their response was that this was not possible. They said once an order is placed you cannot retract and cancel for a refund per their policy (and they were quick to e:mail this to me!), but rather have the option to hold the shipment for another date or get at store credit. I have never heard of such a restrictive policy and unfortunately we won't be using Hazelton's again for any future orders. So be careful when placing your orders!
My manager loved the gift however it was delivered much later than we asked for. It took a while to get someone to respond as to status and when finally did there apparently was an issue with truck and order not being tracked. Hopefully just a one time thing. Gift basket was beautiful though and much appreciated.
